AAA quality 6-6.5mm Akoya pearl necklace with antique diamond & pearl clasp
A unique and beautiful 46cm (18 inch) white saltwater pearl necklace with an antique gold, diamond and pearl box clasp. The pearls are hand knotted between each pearl, onto double threaded silk.
The pearls are beautiful 6-6.5mm Akoya pearls with a thick nacre, incredible luster and rainbow overtones. The pearls have no imperfections, so are graded AAA. The clasp is shaped as a clam shell with a 5mm pearl at the centre, the clasp was taken from an antique necklace and although not marked, it tests for 18ct gold, and is milgrain set with approximately 30 old mine-cut and rose-cut diamonds, the largest of which is an old mine cushion cut, 2x2.5mm in shape.
