AAA 7.5-8mm silver grey Akoya pearl necklace & vintage Zeeta 9ct gold clasp
A unique 44cm (17.25 inch) silver grey saltwater pearl double strand necklace with silver Akoya pearl-set 9ct gold clasp. The clasp is a vintage three tiered pearl cluster with 24 perfectly matching Japanese Akoya pearls, made in rose gold and marked Zeeta 9ct. The longer strand is 18.25 inches, and the strands nest together beautifully. The pearls are newly hand knotted between each pearl, onto double threaded white silk.
These Japanese Akoya pearls are very unusual, as they have not been bleached or "pinked" so exhibit the natural colour of Akoya pearls. The beautiful 7.5-8mm pearls are rare pale silver (Madama) Akoya pearls with a thick nacre, incredible luster and pale blue overtones. The pearls have virtually no imperfections, so are graded AAA.

These pearls are a classic. Akoya pearls with this colour and luster are highly prized. The necklace will be presented in new dark blue jewellery box with a velvet interior, made by Swordes the Fine Art Auctioneers.
