AAA quality vintage double graduated Akoya saltwater cultured pearl & 9ct yellow gold necklace
A stunning 40.5cm (16 inch) reconditioned vintage cream or pale golden saltwater pearl double strand necklace with a 9ct gold pearl-set flower clasp and a 9ct gold safety chain. The longer strand is 16.75 inches, and the strands nest together perfectly. The pearls are newly hand knotted between each pearl, onto double threaded white silk.
These Japanese Akoya pearls are very unusual, as they have not been bleached or "pinked" so exhibit the natural colour of Akoya pearls. The beautiful 3.4-6.2mm pearls are rare pale golden (Kinsyoku) Akoya pearls with a thick nacre, incredible luster and rose and silver overtones. The pearls have virtually no imperfections, so are graded AAA.
